My wife and I bought this printer yesterday. It's setup was fairly straight forward until we tried loading the supplied driver/software disk on our two x64 Win 7 laptops. It kept hanging up while trying to load the disk. After a few attempts on both machines we went to Canon's official site and downloaded the specific drivers/software for x64 Win 7. They downloaded quickly and without fuss. We would've saved a little time by skipping trying to load the disk and just getting the OS specific downloads from Canon's site. So if you're using x64 Win 7 skip the disc and go to Canon's site.

I just wanted to know a few things (all these specs listed on Amazon's page, but so little info there!!!) WTF?:
1) Aftermarket ink available yet? YES, and it's reasonably priced, just like my old MP530 I gave to my parents, worked great, never let me down and I learned before that, Canon printers are the best in the industry (at least compared to HP and Epson) with cheap ink available, prints great, why buy a printer that will give you headaches with costs, or clogged heads (all other inkjets basically).
2) Wireless (The reason I want a new printer really..) supports wifi N standard, AND WPSK? YES!
3) Resolution is twice that of the MX420 - NICE
4) Supports individual ink carts, and costs $40 more than MX420 - NO BRAINER FOLKS!
5) Prints faster than the MX870 == NICE
It all adds up, another great product researched and purchased. Don't bother with any other printer if you just need a typical All In One, for home use.
