My 12 month old twins LOVE this gumball machine. They are building their fine motor skills by reaching into the slot to pick up the balls and then dropping them in the top. They do this over and over again!! They also get great exercise chasing the balls around the room - and actually have loved just shaking them (some rattle) and banging them together for months. We don't consider the balls a choking hazard as they are pretty large.

My son received this toy for his 1st birthday. For the last month, he has been playing with it non-stop. He LOVES it. However, yesterday I watched as he shoved a ball into his mouth. He didn't choke, but I am so happy that I was in the room. The ball barely fit and it was hard to pull out. The toy will be going into a closet until he's out of the stage where everything goes in his mouth (which I'm not sure when that'll happen!)

This toy is perfect for my 18 month old daughter. She LOVES it. She is constantly putting the balls in and taking them out. I have no idea how a small child could choke on it, as the balls are pretty big, but as with any toy we know our childrens own abilities.

Our toddler tester had a ball with this intriguing, put-and-take "gumball" machine! Drop the balls inside the globe, then learn how to release them down the chute. There's three solutions waiting to be discovered: lever, key, and knob. Scoop the balls out, then start again. Fun, simple cause-and-effect learning; good for developing dexterity, too. Includes 12 colorful balls. For ages 12 months and up.. Each ball is different. Some rattle, one has a mirror, and they all feature different colors and patterns.
