This complete unit is the way to go. Everything is new, the strut, the spring and the mount. Less labor, quick install and the pair raised the ride height sligthly.

Replaced the rear struts on my 99 camry with 158k. I've never done a job like this, but figured after reading the service manual, and forums that it would be something i can handle. Took me a total of 3hrs, out of which one side took longer, because I was taking my time since it was my first time. The other side took only 45 mins. Make sure to have a helper when you do put the new ones in so they can thread the upper 3 nuts. But apart from that, its a one man job. ******I cannot stress this enough, MAKE SURE to torque the upper nuts and bottom nuts correctly. (29lbs for top) and (145 lbs for the two bottoms). People who have had problems seem like they did not torque those bolts correctly. After all said and done, the car no longer rattles in the rear (I had changed the sway bar bushings and cross links, before this). The ride is a little more stiff, but still comfortable. Much cheaper than the oem ones and this kit just makes things safer by not having to use the compression tool....
